Please join Us for a Lana Turner sponsored poetry reading in conjunction with Historical Materialism’s North American conference in New York City. The reading will take place at Human Relations Books in Bushwick.

 

 

Readers

Anne Boyer is the author of The Romance of Happy Workers. She teaches at the Kansas City Art Institute.

 

Jasper Bernes is the author of Starsdown. He is currently a fellow at Duke University.

 

Chris Chen’s poetry and criticism has appeared in Tripwire, South Atlantic Quarterly, and many other publications. He teaches in the Literature Department at UC Santa Cruz.

 

Jeanine Webb’s recent poetry has appeared in lana turner. She is a PhD candidate in the Literature Department at UC San Diego.

 

Joshua Clover is a poet and critic. He teaches at UC Davis. His books include Madonna Anno Domini, The Totality for Kids, 1989: Bob Dylan Didn’t Have this to Sing About, and The Matrix.

 

Sandra simonds is the author of Warsaw Bikini and Mother was a Tragic Girl. She teaches at Thomas University.  

 

Josef Kaplan is the author of Democracy is not for the People. He lives in Brooklyn. 

 

David Lau is a lecturer at UC Santa Cruz. He co-edits Lana Turner. His book of poetry, Virgil and the Mountain Cat, appeared in 2009.
